A Digital Tool
PICO is a creative, digital tool based on the LEGO system and designed to create structures equipped with sensors, motors, lights, sounds and motion.
You can program the PICO unit, called PicoCricket, to perform many different tasks. The programming is made in plain language on a computer.
For instance, try building a car that drives when you whistle or a light that turns on when it gets dark.
You set your own limits
Use PicoCrickets to solve everyday problems or simulate phenomena you have experienced at Danfoss Universe. You can program a PicoCricket to ring when it gets light in the morning, for instance. Or to simulate an earthquake and knock down a building.
From playing to learning
Pico was developed on the basis of research and ideas from The Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). MIT is one of the world's leading universities within creative learning environments.
When PicoCrickets is implemented in science classes, pupils are stimulated to become interested in and inquisitive about in natural phenomena, science and technology.
